I took a short walk from the Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Pontresina, Switzerland and hiked toward the Roseg Glacier, which is about 8 miles southwest of the hotel. I hiked for about an hour and a half to get up to this point, which I think is about half way up. It was a beautiful hike, with the glacier and the glacial water coming down.

If you want to take the easy way, across on the other side of the river there is a road and you can actually take a horse drawn carriage up to the restaurant near the glacier.
