Interlaken is a beautiful little city located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun in the Swiss Alps. Odds are you will connect through here when heading into the Jungfrau Region by train which travels along the blue lakes.

We purchased a 14-day Swiss card a gazillion years ago which allowed free rides on the lake steamers which travel on both lakes as well as unlimited train and postal buses. Interlaken is a good place to base yourself while visiting different areas in this proximity.
