Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia | Trending Places to see in 2022

The largest and oldest national park in the Republic of Croatia is the Plitvice Lakes. This region has traditionally drawn nature enthusiasts because of its extraordinary natural splendour. As a result, on April 8th, 1949, it was designated as the Republic of Croatia's first national park. When Plitvice Lakes was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List on October 26, 1979, it was recognised for its remarkable universal value in the process of tufa creation, which creates tufa barriers and lakes as a result.


With a few smaller parts covered by grasses, the park is mostly covered in forest vegetation. The lakes, which make up the majority of the park's most appealing features, occupy less than 1% of its overall area.

'But you're in government, it's your job for god's sake!'
This was Eddie Mair's heated interview with Tory MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith on the government's actions to address the cost-of-living crisis.

It comes as Martin Lewis has slammed the government for acting like "zombies" on the energy crisis, after it was revealed more than six million households were already in debt ahead of the October rise.

Crisis talks to "knock some heads together" will take place on Thursday after the energy price cap was forecast to hit more than £4,200 in January.

Energy bosses are being called-in by ministers this week for talks over increasing profits, as millions of UK households struggle with soaring bills.

Eddie Mair put it to Sir Iain that announcing government proposals to deal with the cost of living crisis only after a new PM is voted in is "really not good enough".

"Well I don't agree with you Eddie, I'm afraid," Sir Iain replied.

"Yes there is a significant problem facing key people, most in society, but very much those who have difficulty. I set up Universal Credit."

"That's not going to help them," Eddie interrupted.

Sir Iain said: "Eddie, just let me finish." "No, I'm not going to let you say Universal Credit. It's not enough," Eddie shot back.

The clash continued, with Eddie reiterating that the government's actions were "not enough".

Sir Iain insisted that the government needed to work out who the "at risk families" were and where the money should go before announcing financial support.

A football field called Henningsvaer Stadion may be found in the settlement of the Lofoten Islands, which are off the coast of northern Norway. It sits simply facing the stunning Norwegian Sea, not far from the Arctic Circle, and is regarded as one of the most magnificent stadiums in the entire world.

The Henningsvaer Idrettslag Stadion, which is used only for amateur football, is in the Norwegian fishing community of Henningsvr, which is situated on two tiny islands off the coast of Lofoten. It has no stands and is surrounded by a few metres of tarmac. But the setting is magnificent.

If you are someone who needs to live in a major city and approach the vastest scope of choices for eating, drinking and exercises, to do in your leisure time, then you don't actually have to look any farther than Bucharest. 
With more than 2 million people living here everyday, this city is over five times the size of #tirana (Albania’s capital), making one of the largest in the EU after #berlin , #madrid #rome , and #paris . 
It’s safe to say it is considerably cheaper to live in Bucharest than in any of those cities and while there’s not an endless list of cultural attractions, there are plenty of museums, parks, and quirky districts to explore.
Here, you’ll also find the world’s second-largest administrative building, the Palace of the Parliament. Dinners can be limited to 6-7€  per person in cheaper areas and around 10-15€ in high end restaurants.

The median after-tax salary is around 500€ per month, which is enough to cover living expenses for less than one month. You can savor its delicious seafood delicacies with a mid-range, 3-course meal only costing around 25€. 
Surrounded by walls, cars are forbidden within the town itself, so the best way to get around is to walk. However, as Kotor is situated directly on the Bay of Kotor, you might want to rent a stand-up #paddleboard (around 30€ for 24hrs).

A meal at a good restaurant will cost you around €10 for 2 persons, and the accomodation at a 3-star hotels can be around €30 a night—making Sofia a total bargain for a visit!

Common around the Slovak capital, “zemiakove placky” are these #potatopancakes , fried, garlicky which are sold for just an euro or two. #goulash here is correspondingly reasonable, and with 1 euro, you can buy for sure a beer. Flights can be as cheap as 20 euros to discover this beautiful capital.
